Design in Canva. Publish where its planner cannot.

Canva is the better design tool, and nothing here replaces its editor. This page is about what happens after the design: where its Content Planner stops, and how to publish past it.

Content Drifter does not replace Canva's editor; it replaces Canva's Content Planner. Canva's help center lists seven destinations for the planner (Facebook Pages, Instagram business accounts, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Slack and Tumblr), one platform per design, and on Instagram only single image or video posts. Content Drifter publishes to Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, and Bluesky, including Instagram carousels of up to 10 images and Stories, and writes a caption for each network. Keep Canva for design.

Where Content Drifter wins

  • Instagram carousels of up to 10 images in the order you set, and Instagram Stories
  • TikTok, Threads, YouTube and Bluesky, which its planner does not list
  • One design to every network at once, with a caption written for each
  • An approval step before anything publishes, and analytics that shape the next batch

Where Canva wins

  • The design editor itself: templates, brand kits, photo and video editing
  • Slack and Tumblr scheduling, which Content Drifter does not offer
  • Designing and scheduling a single image without leaving the editor

What we measure about ourselves, in public

None of that is a claim about Canva. It is the standard we hold ourselves to, and it is a fair thing to ask any tool you are comparing us against.

Content Drifter pricing

Free forever plan with AI generation included. Lite $15/mo, Starter $30/mo, Pro $60/mo, Business $120/mo, Agency $199/mo. Yearly billing is 2 months free.

Canva pricing

Canva Pro is priced for one person and Canva Business per person, and scheduling needs Pro, Business, Education or Nonprofits. Its pricing page shows the price in your local currency, so we do not quote one here.

Bottom line

Keep Canva for design either way. If you post single images to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest or X, its planner may be all you need. If you post carousels or Stories, publish to TikTok, Threads, YouTube or Bluesky, or want one design to reach every network with its own caption, publish with Content Drifter.

Canva pricing on this page was last checked against their published pricing page in October 2026 by Tayyab, founder of Content Drifter. Competitors change their plans; if you spot a stale number, tell us and we will correct it.

What Canva's planner can post

  • It schedules to Facebook Pages, Instagram business accounts, X (listed as Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, Slack and Tumblr, one platform per design at a time. (its help center)
  • On Instagram it schedules single image or video posts: not Stories, Reels or galleries, and not from creator accounts. (its help center)

What you get here

  • Instagram carousels of up to 10 images in the order you set, and Instagram Stories.
  • Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, and Bluesky from one upload, with a caption written for each network.
  • Canva exports go straight in: PNG or JPG files up to 20 MB each. TikTok and YouTube take a video.

How to move

  1. Start on Free, or take 3 days free with no card.
  2. Bring a spreadsheet of your scheduled posts into bulk import: common column names are recognised as they come, and every row is checked against the publisher's own rules.
  3. Connect each account once, one workspace per brand, and keep Canva until its last scheduled post has gone out.
