Carousels in your brand,
without opening Canva.

Generate ready-to-publish 5-slide Instagram and LinkedIn carousels with your Brand Kit colors, fonts, and logo auto-applied to every slide. The output is real PNGs you can drop straight into a scheduled post — no separate design tool, no per-slide hand-tweaking.

One topic in, five branded slides out

The carousel maker is wired into the same content generator as the rest of Drifter. Tell it the topic, pick a deck template (cover → tip → quote → next-tip → CTA is the default), and the generator drafts the slide copy in your brand voice. The render pipeline then composes each slide as a real image with your colors and logo baked in.

Net result: ~30 seconds from “I should post a carousel about X” to “here are five slides ready to schedule.”

Your Brand Kit drives every slide

The Brand Kit you set up once at signup is the single source of truth for what every carousel looks like:

  • Colors — primary, accent, and background pulled from your Brand Kit. Slides alternate the backgrounds so the deck has rhythm; copy contrast is checked at render time so text never lands unreadable.
  • Logo — placed top-right on every slide at a consistent size. Disable per-deck if you want a cleaner cover.
  • Fonts — the brand font from your Brand Kit (with safe fallbacks) is used for every line of copy. No more “why does this slide look different than the last one” situations.
  • Voice — the slide copy comes from the same voice-aware prompt stack as your regular generations. Voice references, preserved terms, and forbidden terms all apply.

Templates that actually fit social copy

v1 ships a deliberately small template set — the patterns that actually convert on IG and LinkedIn:

  • Cover slide — bold title + promise + brand mark. The first slide's only job is to earn slide two.
  • Tip / numbered-list slide — single-idea-per-slide breakdown of the topic. Three to five slides of these in a deck.
  • Quote slide — pull a single quotable line from the topic, render it large. Optional in the deck depending on topic length.
  • CTA slide — the close. “Save this for later”, “Tap follow for more”, or a custom CTA you specify. Counts toward the deck's slide budget.

More templates ship in the F103.b polish tier (drag-drop reorder, stat callouts, before/after, step-by-step diagrams, per-slot regenerate). Tracked on the launch plan.

What you get back, technically

Each carousel is a small set of PNG image files. Specifically:

  • 5 PNGs at 1080 × 1080 — the IG-square aspect ratio, which works for both Instagram carousels and LinkedIn document carousels.
  • Drop-in to scheduled post — the carousel renders go straight into your Media Library and get attached to the next scheduled post in one click.
  • Standalone download — or download the deck as a ZIP and use it wherever (the LinkedIn document upload, an external scheduler, the Twitter web client).

The render pipeline is the same satori → SVG → sharp composite path we use for OG images and analytics PNG exports — fast, server-side, zero browser-rendering footguns.

Why this stops you opening Canva

The honest comparison: Canva is great for one-off poster design. For weekly carousel posts, it's the wrong tool — every deck re-asks you for the same five decisions (which template, what colors, where the logo goes, what font, how to handle the cover) and then forces you to hand-edit each slide's copy.

Drifter bakes those five decisions into your Brand Kit and asks for the only thing that actually changes per post: the topic. Three minutes vs thirty per carousel; consistency that survives the “I'm tired and just want to ship a post” test.

Pro on Drifter, unlimited on Agency

Carousel maker is a Pro+ feature. Pro lets you generate carousels inside your monthly post quota (each deck counts as one generation). Agency unlocks unlimited carousels on top of the higher post quota — useful when you're running multiple brands and one of them is carousel-heavy.

Free and Starter plans don't include carousels in v1. The gate is a UX boundary, not a moral one — carousels are the most time-saving feature for users who already post weekly, which tracks with the upgrade trigger to Pro.
